| Dear owners, It is with great pleasure that we can now announce that due to the fantastic support of everyone who attended, plus the generosity of our many Sponsors, we are delighted to confirm we have a total of €20,516 to distribute to Charities and local Good Causes. We have already made Donations totalling €14,000 to the following: AACC (The Spanish equivalent of the global Charity Cancer Research) MABS (A voluntary organisation based in San Javier, providing support to local people suffering from Cancer) SUCINA SCHOOL (The Primary School in Sucina, who are always in need of Computers, Books, etc., for the children as Government funding is limited) NUNS (A Sucina-based foundation run by Nuns, providing care and accommodation to single mothers who are finding it difficult to raise their children alone) Further Good Causes are currently being reviewed, and we have also met with the new Mayor of Sucina to discuss possible donations. If anyone has any special requests and feels we should look at donating to a specific local Charity, please let us have details for consideration as soon as possible. We will publish full details of all the donations and contributions made in due course. The Golf Match during the day had 96 participants, and the Evening Party was a great success, with 320 guests enjoying the atmosphere. Barrington’s soul machine performance, together with the Dreamgirls, made it a truly special day. We congratulate the worthy and popular winner of the JHB Trophy, Eduardo Negri, who has been a substantial supporter of the Charity Day since it started. We are pleased to confirm that arrangements for next year’s Charity Day are already underway. The date for your diary is SATURDAY, 22nd June 2023. The format for the day will be very similar to this year – a Golf Match in the morning (shotgun start at 09.00) and a Party in the gardens at El Cason in the evening with entertainment to be advised. Numbers will be limited, so we strongly suggest you confirm your interest by emailing hrcharitygolf@gmail.com as early as possible.
