| Please, do not reply to this e-mail COMMUNICATION 14 HR GOLF CHARITY DAY 01.07.2023 Dear owners, We are pleased to confirm that this year’s HR CHARITY DAY, JHB Memorial Trophy is on SATURDAY, 1st JULY 2023, at Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort. The change from October to July was a great success as we enjoyed fabulous weather, and the golf was pretty good. The evening entertainment and meal went down well as we made good use of the El Cason gardens for an amazing live Band performance and dancing. We raised over 11,000 euros for local charities and causes, so we are looking to improve on this figure this year with your help. We could not have achieved this without the support of our sponsors, local Sucina businesses and the contribution of everyone who attended to make the day fun, enjoyable and successful, so from the Organising Committee, many THANKS. We have already donated to Cancer Research, Sucina School and Caritas Sucina. We are looking to sponsor first-aid courses to teach people basic first-aid skills and how to use a defibrillator. So 2023, with your help, we want to improve this figure. We would welcome talking to anyone who would like to sponsor any aspect of the day, from the stage, band, tables, menus, golf holes, hole-in-one, etc. Please don’t be embarrassed to introduce yourself. A Stableford format playing for the much-converted JHB Memorial Trophy won last year by Dave Maskens. We will introduce a team game format this year and nearest the pin prizes on each hole, and the dreaded water holes will be looking for your balls as well as 5 euros. As in previous years, there will be a variety of Golf Prizes on the Day, an Auction of specially donated unusual items, a raffle board and many other surprises we will have in store for you. So, if anyone wishes to sponsor anything, donate, or contribute in any way towards these, we would be very grateful. Once again, we will arrange for dinner in the gardens at El Cason on pre-booked round tables, where the popular Dreamgirls will entertain us with music to dance to into the night. Please, let us know how many places you require for the Golf (and specify whether Walking or Buggy) and how many places for the dinner. You do not have to be playing golf to attend, we will let you know nearer the time the menu and cost of tables, but tables will be no more than for ten persons, so please just let us know if you are interested in taking part. Please remember that the whole Day is designed to raise as much money as possible for CHARITIES AND LOCAL GOOD CAUSES, and all profits will be distributed accordingly. In the seven years since Charity Day started, we have raised over €60,000; considering 2 years, we could not organise because of COVID restrictions. We hope to add significantly to that figure this year. We have also set up an HR Charity Facebook page, HR Golf Charity Day.
