Dear Owner of Hacienda Riquelme,

We hope you all have had a good Christmas and we wish you all the best for 2021.

We expect Resortalia to leave the resort on 31st December 2020 and take all the furniture and hardware they own with them, so that our own staff can move in there on Monday 4th January 2021.

We have had to buy new furniture for the Gatehouse, and it is being delivered on 5th January. We have also had to buy laptops, office phones, mobiles, software, and other equipment. Because we have not had access to our bank accounts, Board members Gordon Hutchinson and Ron Locke, and owner John Slater, as well as Pepa, Charlotte and Elena have kindly lent the community several thousand euros in total to make the purchases. We are also indebted to John for the help he has given us in finding the replacement software we need to get started. Once we have got things settled, John will help us do a review to see whether we can use other software to make our service more efficient.

One of the things we wish to do is give a better service by improving the inhouse Admin, so we will be making some changes immediately by doing the following:

1. There will no longer be a walk-in service at the Gatehouse. One of the complaints we have had is that there is no privacy when people go to speak to Resortalia. Instead, you will be able to make appointments, which will be held in private in a room in the Gatehouse. We believe this will also be less disruptive for the staff working there. You can book these appointments by phone or email.

2. There will not be a weekly newsletter. Our feedback is that very few people bother to read it because it is very repetitive. Communications will be done as and when they need to be. Things like important phone numbers and email addresses will be on our website.

3. The planning application process will be speeded up. Currently the application goes backwards and forwards from owners to the planning committee, to Resortalia and back to the owner again for the process to be repeated. It will be speeded up by the owner going direct to the subcommittee person responsible for approval, amendment, or refusal. The new application forms will be available on the website or on application via a new email address for the person responsible for dealing with it on the Boards behalf. 

4. The self admin team`s email address will be renamed other than letters that mean nothing to anyone. The email address are as follows:
